Average Daybreak resident income? 14 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 4
Does anyone know what the average income is in Daybreak?

Maybe I'm on the lower end of the Daybreak income scale or maybe I'm just cheap, but it seems that most things opening up in the Village Center or that are associated with Daybreak are more expensive than other areas of the valley. And of course we all are coming to realize our HOA seems to think we are "all rolling in dough."

I know that alot of people outside of Daybreak think of Daybreak as a rich snob area, but most people I've interacted with in Daybreak just seem to have average paying jobs.

I'm in complete agreement! I don't anticipate very many of the places sticking around for long... especially not in this economy!

According to Wikipedia and I think that I have read this in the Tribune as well, the median household income in South Jordan, (Daybreak hasn't been separated) was about $85K which is about 30K higher than the rest of the state and if I am not mistaken, the highest in the state. I don't think that Daybreak is that out of line with that. So technically, South Jordan is a pretty affluent place...

Very few of my neighbors fall into that income bracket. I think we have a small group of extremely high income earners in the SoJo area that skews the average a bit. Plus our population is smaller than the other communities we are compared to.

Even if I fit the demographics, I'm not paying the prices for the frivolous things I've seen in DoDa Row. I was hoping for a commercial area that would provide products or services that I would use frequently. Or become a destination where I liked to spend time.

Other than the Yoga Studio (which is much more pleasant, warmer, cleaner, and has a better schedule and staff than the DCC), there isn't a shop proposed or in place worth my time/money, and that's just sad.

The District has done a nice job of creating a gathering place in the area around the theater. Nice mix of restaurants, fun shops, and yummy treats. You can pick the right scenario for your budget.

Well based on $85K being average that puts my family in the "poor house" but we like living in Daybreak none the less.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I just want a bank in SoDa row. I love living in Daybreak, but it's a long drive to get to many services. I'd love to see a small library and post office, but that's just wishful thinking.
