So it’s been a few months since SoDa RoW in Daybreak has opened and here are my thoughts/reviews…

.

Oppsie Daisy ~ Cute store, really great items, a little too expensive…

.

San Gelato Café ~ Nice décor, good atmosphere, I have only had a few mochas here and have not had a chance to try or review the food; hopefully I will have the chance to do so soon. The feedback I have gotten is that the prices are a little too high, but that the food is good.

.

Tio’s Mexican Restaurant ~ This is a tough one, I have been there twice, once it was great (had the fajitas) the next time it has horrible (had the taquitos), both times the service was bad, I hope they get it together…

.

Guys Barber Shop ~ I have not been there yet, if anyone has please comment…

.

Classic Cleaners ~ I have not been there yet, if anyone has please comment…

.

Black Diamond Gymnastics ~ I have not been there yet, if anyone has please comment…

.

PLEASE COMMENT at the bottom of this article and share your reviews/experiences of SoDa RoW. This is one of the only places you will get real reviews and feedback by Daybreak Residents…

.

Classic Cleaners

Classic Cleaners is decorated in a modern, sparse style, with cement floors and a very basic lobby. I brought two suits to be cleaned shortly after they opened. I was promised the items would be ready in a couple of days and they were ready when I came to pick them up. I could hear equipment running, so it appears they do cleaning on-site. Prices were competitive ($10 for a suit), and they are currently running 20% off coupons in various advertisements you should be receiving in the mail. I had previously tried a door pickup/delivery service without much luck so will be using Classic Cleaners.

Guy's Barbershop - the details

By: Timothy Hood (Registered IP 151.118.136.38) on 11-02-2010 20:00

Guy's Barber Shop is a small, one-chair shop in the traditional style of haircutting. It's the place your grandfather would have gone to. There are a few chairs to wait for drop-ins, with magazines and even a chess game--almost as if he's welcoming you to stay and chat after getting your haircut. There's even some interesting artwork on loan from a local artist that adds to the ambiance.

The haircuts are traditional style, with scissors unless you prefer clippers. He even uses a straight razor and lotion to trim your neck and uses an electric neck massager to finish it off. $15 for men/boys.

I've been to Tio's twice, and the last time was much better. I think they'll well.

Barbershop..great. Only issues is not taking debt cards....I'm really bad for carrying cash. I would be more willing to go to Guy if he'd take my debt card.

I especially love the unusually small bowl of chips and soup, I mean, salsa they "give" you, and I just love having to pay extra for another unusually small bowl of chips. Are they still serving soda out of a can? ;)

Been there twice with my wife and once for takeout pickup. I'll second the vote for the chili relleno.. it had a great, fresh tasting sauce. No complaints about the service.

I've been to Tio's about four or five times since it opened and I've loved it every time. They have the best chile relleno I've had in Utah.

+1 for Guy's. Worth every cent of the $15. Tios: OK food, barely OK service, I'll give them another try.

BD Gym: awesome, the space is huge, kids love the teachers, clean, nice.
Guy's Barbershop: best haircut I've had, meticulous, very interesting guy, old school set up and feel, does well with kids, $15 for adults.
Classic Cleaners: nice, cheaper than Red Hanger for dress shirts, seems just like a store front but we have been satisfied.
Tio's: bad service, bad decor, OK food, a shame if you want my honest opinion that we didn't get something better.
San Gelato: expensive but delicious, sandwiches very good, gelato awesome, still haven't tried the hot chocolate-ice cream sundae thing.
