          Daybreak Elementary Fun Run Fundraiser

                      Thursday, September 16th @ 9:00 a.m.

This is our third annual Fun Run Fundraiser!  By having this kind of fundraiser, we are able to keep 100% of the monies collected to use for the many wonderful programs at our school such as field trips, assemblies, Reflections, the spelling bee, drug awareness and safety programs, teacher appreciation, Dolphins Doing Good, and more.  The Fun Run also encourages physical fitness, school spirit, school unity, and most of all FUN!  This will be our only fundraiser this year (PTA), so we are hoping to raise pledges of $20,000 -- that is a goal of about $20 per student.

Here’s how it works.  Each student has been given a yellow Pledge Packet which was handed out after our kick-off assembly.  Your child will collect pledges from parents,  grandparents, friends and neighbors.  Please collect the money at the time of the pledge.  Pledge packets (and money) will be due on September 10th.  Parents,  don’t forget to talk to your employer about matching your donation.  Many companies will match non-profit donations made by employees.

The Fun Run will be Thursday, September 16, 2010, at 9:00 a.m.  Students will leave the school and run/walk on a pre-set course through Daybreak and Country Crossing.  Parents, you are encouraged to participate with your child.  This will be a great activity for you to mingle with friends, neighbors, students and teachers.  Mark it on your calendar, and come show support for our wonderful children and teachers, for the exceptional programs available here at Daybreak Elementary and for our amazing school by participating in this year’s Fun Run!

**We will have Daybreak t-shirts ($6) and Daybreak Water Bottles ($2) available for purchase at the Fun Run.  Also, students can get their pictures taken with our Daybreak Dolphin, Dynamite, for $2.  (Must be paid for at the fun run.)
