Just curious if anybody has talked to the woman standing on the corner of Topview and Daybreak Pkwy with 2 signs that say something about the daybreak dream and dealing with the daybreak nightmare 4 years later and referring to the HOA and discrimination. I didn't stop (kind of a busy place to try to stop anyhow!) but I was curious as to what it was all about.

The resident is a long-time Daybreak resident who lives in Founders. She has been an avid proponent of Daybreak but has many examples of KL and HOA failures to live up to their advertising, promises and obligations. A quick conversation with her was enlightening. She does not seem to be one who just has an axe to grind but someone who sees what needs to be fixed to keep our community great and some suggestions about how to fix them. In the short time I talked to her, several people stopped who wanted to buy in the new phases and she was asked about her ideas on the best builders, management, etc. Four cars stopped including a person who sold for one of the builders. (about a half-hour) She had only glowing things to say about the community and its people but told them what the shortfalls of management were, too. I had forgotten about the time when a group of residents had to take KL and the HOA to legal task because their lives had been threatened by a group of renters who were living in the townhouses on Granville against HOA rules and the HOA told the renters who the residents were.

Thank you for the information! I'm not surprised to hear that she had nothing but good things to say about everything but the management. I wasn't aware that a group of residents was being threatened by renters although it doesn't shock me. I've been disappointed by the HOA too many times to count. Its sad to say, but our HOA is a classic example of why so many people choose communities without one!

I live in the townhomes on Calton & Grandville. It truly is a mess. I am constantly calling the HOA regarding garbage cans, parking in the alley way, people leaving junk every where. Nothing gets done. It even got to the point where the HOA started asking to me to take pictures and that were date/time stamped. It truly is ridiculous. Our HOA does nothing, but take our HOA fees...

Nothing new to Founders Village Scooter. You can take photos with timestamps until your camaera fails and you will still look at junk, weeds, and drive around trash cans. I feel your pain and so does the woman protesting on Topcrest.

I've given up with the garbage cans myself... last I heard from the HOA, they were "working with" the nieghbor I reported. Of course nothing happened and I'm still trying to figure out how you work with someone who is in violation of the rules. Its a pretty simple procedure to me.... you tell them to fix it and fine them if they don't in accordance with the list of fines that went into effect this year!

I'm with Girl though... you can take pictures until the camera fails and call the HOA until you're out of breath but it's always the same story. I just wish I would've learned that sooner before I wasted my time.
