Very few of my neighbors fall into that income bracket. I think we have a small group of extremely high income earners in the SoJo area that skews the average a bit. Plus our population is smaller than the other communities we are compared to.
Even if I fit the demographics, I'm not paying the prices for the frivolous things I've seen in DoDa Row. I was hoping for a commercial area that would provide products or services that I would use frequently. Or become a destination where I liked to spend time.
Other than the Yoga Studio (which is much more pleasant, warmer, cleaner, and has a better schedule and staff than the DCC), there isn't a shop proposed or in place worth my time/money, and that's just sad.
The District has done a nice job of creating a gathering place in the area around the theater. Nice mix of restaurants, fun shops, and yummy treats. You can pick the right scenario for your budget.
