After receiving the Daybreak email yesterday in which the outdoor safety tips consisted of the phrase, "be safe" reworded several times, I decided to write my own outdoor safety tips for the neighborhood. You can read them here:

Love it! Unfortunately the people that truly need to read that can't be bothered with the inconvienances you are suggesting. Of course they are the same people that cry "why me!" when something bad does happen. For those that do care, it is unfortunately left up to us to be vigilant. I've learned that children and animals aren't the only ones who can shoot out in front of your car out of nowhere! I've also learned that even if a parent is 5 feet away, it doesn't mean they are watching their own child or so much as care what they are doing. Much easier to let someone else do the parenting I guess.

And we pay a "professional" management company to spend time coming up with inane helpful hints.

1. Teach your children proper outdoor safety practices
2. Use your common sense when participating in outdoor activities
3. Always be prepared for the unexpected
4. Do not take unnecessary chances
5. Do not be careless
6. Think before you act

Now I know why they keep asking for more employees, they have to catch up on their useless bits of information file. I have a felling this was plagiarized from "Common Sense for Dummies".
