I wanted to let everyone that Brett Neilson has formed The Daybreak Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) which is comprised of volunteers, who are trained in disaster preparedness, basic first aid, small fire suppression, search and rescue operations as well as victim triage. Daybreak CERT exists to: - Coordinate and catalog volunteers in the Daybreak community
- Educate friends and neighbors about disaster preparedness and the CERT program
- Prepare and train for a variety of emergencies that could impact Daybreak
- Coordinate with City Emergency Management and city based CERT program
- Affiliate and work with other Daybreak groups and clubs to increase preparedness and awarenessÂ
The Daybreak community is comprised of over 7,500 residents (estimated 47,250 at build out) and 13,500 homes by 2020. In addition there will be numerous parks and common areas and over 9,000,000 sq ft of office/retail space. Having an established CERT within Daybreak will help to ensure the preparedness and sustainability of our community after a disaster.  If you are interested in learning more about the history and purpose of CERT please goto www.DaybreakCERT.com
